Meet “The Other Kenny G”

 

From the bright lights of a Washington, D.C. children’s television show to stages around the world and now the sunny shores of Southwest Florida, Kenny Giordano has spent a lifetime doing what he loves most: making people smile through music.
 

Known throughout Southwest Florida as “The Other Kenny G,” Kenny is a one-man band, singer, guitarist, pianist, and entertainer who brings music, laughter, and a personal touch to every performance. Whether he’s delivering a memorable singing telegram, entertaining residents in a senior living community, performing at a country club, or bringing a crowd to life at a special event, Kenny believes the best part of being an entertainer is connecting with people through the power of a song.

 

It All Started in Washington

Kenny was born and raised in the Washington, D.C., area—a place he affectionately refers to as the

“Land of Self Importance.”

His entertainment career began at the tender age of five, when he appeared alongside his older brother on CBS’s local children’s television show, Claire and Cocoa. He may have been too young to understand what a career in entertainment meant, but he quickly learned something important when he returned to kindergarten: being on television certainly got people’s attention!

Growing up in a large catholic family, Kenny found music to be a natural part of his life. He taught himself to play guitar by watching his older brother, tuning in to television, and listening to the radio. At age 11, he joined his local contemporary choir, beginning an 11-year journey that would see him serve as both co-director and director.  Those early experiences helped shape the versatile musician and engaging performer he is today.

From the Rocky Mountains to the High Seas

 

After nearly four decades in the Washington, D.C., area, Kenny traded the Washington D.C. Beltway for the breathtaking Rocky Mountains of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
There, he hit the road and immersed himself in the lively world of fairs and festivals, entertaining audiences throughout the region.  His dedication to his craft eventually led him to attend the International Association of Fairs and Events (IAFE) trade show for three consecutive years.
That persistence paid off when a cruise ship agent discovered his talent and opened the door to an entirely new adventure.
For the next five years, Kenny performed aboard major cruise lines, including Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Lines, entertaining guests seven nights a week while traveling around the world. It was an extraordinary chapter filled with new places, new faces, and countless opportunities to share his love of music.
Life at sea helped Kenny refine the versatile, audience-friendly style that continues to define his performances today.

 

A Lifetime of Songs—and Counting

Kenny’s musical journey includes not only thousands of performances but also two albums featuring a mix of cover songs and original music.

He brings years of experience, an entertainer’s instinct for reading a room, and a genuine appreciation for the people in front of him. From nostalgic favorites and sing-along classics to personalized singing telegrams and special-event entertainment, Kenny knows that a great performance is about more than the music—it’s about the memories people take away.
His journey has taken him from a childhood television studio to festival stages, cruise ship lounges, and communities around the world. Yet the heart of what he does has never changed.  He loves entertaining people, sharing a song, and making someone’s day a little brighter.
